The anti-corruption management system at JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant (AGMK) has successfully been certified according to the international standard ISO 37001:2025. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan.
A certificate award ceremony was held at AGMK, confirming the company's management system's compliance with the updated version of the international standard ISO 37001:2025—"Anti-bribery management systems."
ISO 37001, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), defines requirements for systems designed to prevent, detect, and counter bribery risks in organizations.
Obtaining this certificate is intended to further improve the AGMK's anti-corruption mechanisms, increase the transparency of internal operations, and strengthen the trust of partners and contractors. International certification can also serve as an additional advantage when interacting with foreign companies and participating in international projects.
However, the certificate itself does not guarantee the complete elimination of corruption risks at the enterprise. Its presence confirms that the existing anti-bribery management system has undergone the appropriate assessment procedure for compliance with the requirements of the international standard.
ISO 37001:2025 requires a systematic approach to identifying and mitigating bribery risks, as well as the implementation of appropriate control, prevention, and response procedures.
