A full conclusion has not yet been given on the Sea Breeze project in Charvak — Eco-Expertise Center
The first phase of the Sea Breeze project — only the site selection — has been given a positive conclusion. Its full environmental impact: flora and fauna, sewage system and other environmental requirements will be assessed in the second phase. According to the Center for Ecological Expertise, relevant documents have not yet been submitted.

The environmental expertise of the Sea Breeze Uzbekistan project has not yet been fully completed. So far, only the conclusion has been given on the land selection stage. This was announced to the Gazeta correspondent by the Director of the State Environmental Expertise Center, Gayrat Mukhamedov, after a press conference held at the Content Preparation Center on August 5.
According to Gayrat Mukhamedov, the environmental expertise will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the selection of land for construction will be assessed, and in the second, the full impact of the project on the environment will be studied. So far, only the documents related to the first stage - land selection - have been reviewed on the Sea Breeze Uzbekistan project.
"We have been provided with the first stage of the project documents and only a conclusion was given on the issue of land allocation. The project documents for the second stage have not yet been received. Therefore, the projects necessary to assess the issues raised by the public have not yet been submitted," he said.
Gayrat Mukhamedov noted that the second stage will assess the impact on flora and fauna, wastewater treatment facilities, the master plan, the facilities to be built and all other information.
"For this, scientific studies covering the autumn, winter and spring seasons should be conducted with the participation of the Institutes of Botany and Zoology. The institutes have contacted us for this work, and the studies are currently ongoing. When they are completed, they will present their conclusions. Only after these requirements are met will a decision be made on the second stage," said the director of the center.
He noted that after the center receives the second stage documents, they will be considered within the period specified in the legislation - 25 working days.
According to the head of the center, the general design of "Sea Breeze Uzbekistan" is not yet ready, and therefore it has not been given an ecological conclusion.
"The project is not yet completed. For example, what will the wastewater treatment plant be like, what will be its capacity, how many people will it accommodate, how many cottages and houses will be built - none of these have been submitted to us yet. The development of the project will take about two more years. Currently, work is underway to strengthen the coast, plant trees and prepare the land. No other construction work is being carried out," he said.
Gayrat Mukhamedov said that as soon as the ecological expertise conclusion is signed, it will be posted on the open portal and the center's website.
"Each ecological expertise conclusion we issue is posted on our website on the day it is signed. This information is open," says the center's director.
