A fountain in New Tashkent set two Guinness World Records.

The musical fountain in New Tashkent is recognized as the tallest outdoor fountain in the world and sets a record for water projection.

The fountain complex in New Tashkent has become the holder of two world records, recognized in the Guinness Book of Records. According to the New Tashkent City Construction Directorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, the musical fountain was recognized as the tallest outdoor fountain of its kind and also set a record for the largest projection area onto a circular water screen.

The musical fountain reaches a height of 232.69 meters, surpassing the previous world record of 204.7 meters, which belonged to a fountain in China's Jiangsu Province.

The second record relates to the projection onto a circular water screen, which has an area of 2,617.23 square meters. The previous record for this type of projection was 2,400 square meters.

Guinness World Records official judge Maggie Luo presented certificates confirming both achievements.

The project for the construction of the fountain complex in New Tashkent was presented to the President of Uzbekistan in March 2026.
