A criminal case has been opened against the former head of the Tashkent City Tax Administration

A criminal case has been initiated against the former head of the Tashkent City Tax Administration, Yunusjon Nasimjonov, and the materials have been sent to court.

According to the list of cases scheduled for court hearings, which "Daryo" has reviewed, he has been charged under Article 167, Part 3, Clause "a" (embezzlement or misappropriation) and Article 205, Part 2, Clause "a" (abuse of power or official authority) of the Criminal Code.

This criminal case is scheduled to be heard in the Shaykhontohur District Court on Criminal Cases on September 21.

Yunusjon Nasimjonov headed the Tashkent City Tax Administration from 2021 to 2026. During a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 27, 2026, instructions were given to dismiss him from his post, investigate his activities, and ensure the rule of law.
