A 500-hectare olive grove will be established in Jizzakh

Pakistan's WaterCon company plans to establish an olive plantation on an area of 500 hectares in the Yangiobod district of the Jizzakh region. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to cultivate olives, process them, and export the finished products under the Made in Uzbekistan brand.

According to the "Dunyo" information agency, relying on data provided by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the WaterCon company and the khokimiyat of Jizzakh region.

This document was adopted at the conclusion of negotiations held during the company delegation's business mission to Uzbekistan. The visit was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

Members of the delegation held meetings at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the khokimiyat of Jizzakh region. During the negotiations, opportunities for cultivating agricultural products, their deep processing, and the introduction of modern systems were discussed.

According to the memorandum, along with establishing a modern olive plantation in the Yangiobod district, it is also planned to launch the production of finished products.

In the subsequent stages of the project, olives will be industrially processed and packaged. It is intended to export high-value-added products to foreign markets under the "Made in Uzbekistan" brand.

The parties have outlined the next steps for creating the necessary infrastructure and carrying out organizational work to launch the project.
