97-year-old blind British woman sets record by flying on the wing of a plane.

97-year-old Betty Bromage, a resident of the UK, broke her own Guinness record by flying on the wing of a flying plane. She became the oldest woman in the world to achieve this feat. The pensioner has made such a dangerous flight six times in the past decade.

According to the Daily Mail, Betty, a resident of Cheltenham, suffered a stroke in August 2025. After that, she returned to her extreme adventures. The pensioner admitted that the disease affected her speech, but she did not give up new challenges.

"I can hardly see, which makes life difficult. I can't even read: I get messages on my phone, but I can't see who they are from. It's very painful. So I want to do what I can," says Betty.

The most difficult stage for the British woman was boarding the plane due to her short stature. According to her, the flight was less scary than the rides. The record holder plans to come up with a special challenge for her 100th birthday.

Betty Bromage dedicated this flight to raising funds for the Cheltenham Hospital, where she was treated. The collected donations will be used to purchase medical equipment for the hospital's patients and staff.
