50 companies with revenues exceeding 1 trillion soums will prepare for IPO through an acceleration program

50 enterprises with revenues exceeding 1 trillion soums will be prepared for IPO through an acceleration program.

In Uzbekistan, a special acceleration program will be launched with the participation of reputable investment banks in order to bring local enterprises to the international capital market. It was decided that 50 leading enterprises with annual revenues exceeding 1 trillion soums will be selected for this program. This was announced at an open dialogue with entrepreneurs in Khorezm, chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Half of the costs of preparing these enterprises for IPO and bringing their reports into line with international standards will be covered. This will allow private enterprises to attract at least $1 billion from abroad per year.

This year, for the first time, 30 percent of the shares of the National Investment Fund, which owns 13 strategic companies, were listed on the Tashkent and London stock exchanges. It was noted that this experience has opened the way for the private sector to access external capital markets.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that high-tech investment projects worth $50 billion are being implemented annually, stressing that they must have a personnel training component. The head of state said that the effectiveness of each project depends not only on technology, but also on qualified personnel who can use it.

In Urgench, based on the experience of Germany and China, a system has been established to direct students to 10 types of professions, such as "green" energy, construction, nursing, agronomy, and electrical engineering. It was announced that this experience will be implemented in all regions of the republic.

The expenses of entrepreneurs who establish a technical school or take over a state technical school and train personnel based on international standards will be deducted from taxes. Through this system, it is aimed to train 1 million young people in modern professions and place them in highly profitable jobs.

For information, in 2026, the shares of the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan (UzNIF) were put on public sale on the London and Tashkent stock exchanges. This was noted as the first major international stock transaction in the country's history. As a result of the IPO, about 604 million US dollars were attracted to the country's economy. Currently, the total market value of the fund is estimated at 1.95 billion dollars. Saida Mirziyoyeva said that this further increased the country's international investment attractiveness and strengthened the confidence of foreign investors.
