35-year history in pictures: "Memory of Independence" photo exhibition was opened

An exhibition of more than 150 photographs depicting different periods of Uzbek history opened in Tashkent

The photo exhibition "Memory of Independence", reflecting 35 years of history in photos, opened.

Today, August 21, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Memory of Independence", dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was held at the Tashkent House of Photography. The exhibition was organized on the idea of "One Homeland, One People, Let's Create a New Life and Future!".

This event was held in cooperation with the "Uzarkhiv" Agency under the Ministry of Justice, the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent House of Photography and the National Archive of Cinema and Photographic Documents of Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan A. Nurudinov, Deputy Director General of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan Kh. Khudoiberdiev, and officials of the "Uzarkhiv" Agency.

The exhibition features photographs reflecting the history of the country since 1928. The exhibition includes photos depicting festive events in the first years of independence, industrial development, friendly relations with foreign countries, achievements in the field of education, and the participation of athletes in international competitions.

Also on display are photographs depicting the labor process, the activities of craftsmen and samples of their products, and historical and architectural monuments of the country.

The exhibition contains more than 150 photographs. Among them are photos depicting changes in the economy and spirituality in the regions of Uzbekistan during the years of independence.
