3,000 heads of pedigree cattle imported from China — Food Safety Committee

According to the Food Safety Committee, 3,000 heads of Holstein cattle have been imported from China to Uzbekistan since the beginning of this year.

According to the committee, 80 enterprises in Uzbekistan have signed contracts to import purebred cattle from China. Contracts have been concluded for the import of Chinese Holstein dairy cattle from China to all regions. Since the beginning of the year, 3,000 heads of cattle have been imported, and these cattle are being used for breeding and breeding in the republic.

It is noted that the import of purebred cattle is allowed from two regions of China that are considered healthy and safe. In the National Domestic Animal Genetic Resources Database of China, Chinese Holstein is listed as a separate dairy cattle breed.

For information, it is established that importers of pedigree livestock in Uzbekistan will be exempt from value added tax until 2029. The validity period of the subsidy procedure for pedigree cattle, sheep and goats imported from abroad has been extended until December 31, 2030. Also, from July 1, 2026 to 2030, a subsidy will be allocated for each pedigree calf obtained from cows identified in households.
