151 officials dismissed from their posts for shortcomings in handling public appeals

In Uzbekistan, during January-August 2026, 151 government employees were dismissed from their positions for failing to resolve public appeals. This was reported by the press service of the President's People's Reception Offices.

According to the analysis, during the eight months, 5,486 documents were submitted to government organizations to take measures against employees who committed shortcomings in working with appeals. As a result, 151 individuals who failed to adequately perform their assigned duties were dismissed from their posts. Another 833 employees were issued reprimands.

"Additionally, 150 employees were held administratively liable, and 1,335 were officially warned," the analysis states.

Furthermore, 89 people were fined due to shortcomings in their activities, and eight people were demoted. The highest number of shortcomings was recorded in the fields of employment, mahalla, the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (MIB), healthcare, the prosecutor's office, social protection, and energy.

It is reported that along with taking measures based on appeals, the President's People's Reception Offices also carried out work to eliminate the committed errors and shortcomings. In particular, practical training seminars were organized in nearly 10 organizations receiving the highest number of appeals.

Earlier, the head of the President's People's Reception Office, Farrukh Omonov, stated that the highest number of appeals was related to child benefits. By August 13, 2026, the reception offices had received 557,254 appeals from the population. By region, the highest number of appeals came from the city of Tashkent — 74,592. The lowest number of appeals was recorded in the Syrdarya region — 20,432.
