Uzbekistan, China partner on $150mn waste-to-energy project in SamarkandConstruction has begun on a $150mn waste-to-energy plant in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, which will process 1,500 tons of waste daily and generate 240mn kWh of electricity annually, with operations set to launch between 2025 and 2027.
