100 tourist and gastronomic streets to be created in Tashkent

Tashkent plans to create 100 tourist and gastronomic streets

By 2030, Tashkent intends to open 100 gastronomic, tourist, pedestrian, and 24-hour streets. They will appear in all 12 districts of the capital.

The largest number of such streets is planned for the Chilanzar district — 11. Ten streets each will appear in the Mirzo-Ulugbek, Sergeli, Yunusabad, and Yangihayot districts; eight each in the Mirabad, Almazar, Shaykhantakhur, Yakkasaray, and Yashnabad districts. Six streets will be created in the Uchtepa district, and three in the Bektemir district.

To implement the projects, 175 billion soums will be allocated in 2026 from saved state budget funds. In total, 1 trillion soums will be gradually directed towards the creation of such streets by 2030.

In addition, the Taras Shevchenko tourist street in Tashkent will be extended by almost 400 meters. The new section is planned to be landscaped and enhanced with public spaces for walking, recreation, and business.
