Wrong site selection for Surkhandarya power plant adds $300 million to project cost – Shavkat Mirziyoyev
Uzbekistan will have to spend an additional $300 million to supply natural gas to a combined-cycle power plant under construction in Surkhandarya region because the site for the facility was chosen incorrectly, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during a meeting on July 27 devoted to the fuel and energy sector.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev has revealed that an incorrect site selection for the Surkhandarya power plant has inflated the project's cost by $300 million.
