World Aquatics regional center inaugurated in Tashkent

A new World Aquatics regional center has officially commenced operations in Tashkent, situated within the city's Olympic Village. The inauguration ceremony took place during a visit by a delegation from the World Swimming Federation.
Leading the delegation was Hussein Al-Musallam, who holds the titles of President of World Aquatics and Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia. Other notable attendees at the event included Paolo Zampolli, the Special Envoy of the US President for Global Partnerships, and Majid Rashid, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee. Also present were Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva, a Member of the World Aquatics Executive Committee; Adham Ikramov, the Minister of Sport; and Kudratilla Rafikov, chief of the National Swimming Federation.
Following the ceremony, guests were provided with a tour of the aquatics complex. This facility is engineered to facilitate simultaneous swimming and diving training sessions, meeting stringent international standards.
