Uzbekistan TV Delegation Visits Reuters and BBC in London

Uzbekistan's National Television and Radio Company dispatched a delegation to London for a working visit, engaging with prominent British media entities, as reported by Dunyo Information Agency.

The visit aimed to foster greater collaboration between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom within the media landscape, examine the operational strategies of British media, and explore potential joint ventures.

Facilitated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK, the delegation toured the main offices of Reuters news agency and the BBC media corporation.

During these sessions, representatives from the National Television and Radio Company gained insights into the operational frameworks of these global media leaders, including their editorial guidelines, organizational hierarchies, and the functioning of their international correspondent networks for gathering and distributing news.

A memorandum of understanding was inked between the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and BBC Media Action during the visit, outlining plans for enhanced bilateral cooperation.

Furthermore, the delegation toured the BBC's 24-hour news studio and its fact-checking department, observing television program creation and contemporary broadcasting technology.

Per the Dunyo Information Agency, these engagements are intended to advance media cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, integrate international practices into Uzbekistan's domestic media sector, and solidify partnership bonds.
