The Uzbek government is set to convene a dedicated meeting to tackle the difficulties encountered by the nation's exporters, stemming from recent attacks on Wildberries' warehouse infrastructure in Russia.
This development was shared during an open dialogue session between the Government Commission and business owners from the Khorezm Region.
During the discussion, a textile industry representative highlighted that damage to logistical facilities had interrupted product shipments and led to a decline in export volumes. The representative noted that their company, which employs approximately 300 individuals, previously achieved annual exports valued at US$3 million but is now also contending with the threat of accounts receivable.
Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev confirmed that he has already engaged with the management of the Wildberries marketplace regarding the situation.
He further stated that a distinct meeting with company representatives is slated for Friday, August 7, 2026. The objective of this gathering is to formulate a comprehensive solution to the emerging problems.
Furthermore, directives have been issued to representatives from the Central Bank and the Cabinet of Ministers to conduct a more thorough investigation into the matter of potential accounts receivable.
