**Uzbekistan Shares Groundwater Management Expertise with Tajikistan**
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Water resource specialists from Tajikistan gained insights into Uzbekistan's effective practices for groundwater management and protection during a visit conducted from July 13 to 15, 2026.
The program for the Tajik delegation included tours of several key institutions: the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, the state institutions Uzbekhydrogeology and the Center for Development of Subsoil Use, the HYDROINGEO Institute, the University of Geological Sciences, and the Tashkent station of the State Geological Monitoring Service.
During their visit, the Tajik specialists were briefed on Uzbekistan's system for rational groundwater utilization, the organization of hydrogeological monitoring, laboratory research methodologies, the process for issuing permits, the training of emerging specialists, and current projects related to transboundary groundwater.
