Uzbekistan has launched a 1246 hotline for reports of violence, abuse and threats to children's safety and health.

Uzbekistan has introduced a new child protection hotline, 1246, according to an announcement from the press service of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President.
The hotline is designed for citizens to report instances of violence and abuse targeting children. The agency encourages calls for observed physical, psychological, or sexual violence, neglect of a child's needs, or any other form of abuse.
Additionally, the 1246 hotline is available for reporting circumstances that endanger a child's life or health.
The agency has assured that the confidentiality of all callers will be maintained. The call center is presently in a trial operational phase.
Emphasizing a child's fundamental right to a secure and nurturing upbringing, the agency implored citizens to promptly report any situations that could jeopardize a child's life or well-being.
