Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —
The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and BBC Studios announced the launch of a specialized section on BBC.com dedicated to the country's digital transformation. This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This new section is a continuation of the international communications platform "Uzbekistan. Digitally Yours" and builds on the previously launched BBC News campaign. The platform will regularly publish materials on the impact of digital transformation on Uzbekistan's economy, public services, education, entrepreneurship, and international competitiveness.
The international communications campaign was developed by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions and DARS FILMS. It includes television content, digital stories, and social media content aimed at an international audience.
The campaign presents complex technological development processes through visual stories. According to the materials presented, this approach is intended to demonstrate not only current changes in Uzbekistan but also the vectors for the country's future development. Uzbekistan's Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, stated that digital transformation is a key element of the country's long-term development. He emphasized that collaboration with BBC Studios allows them to convey information about ongoing changes to an international audience and present Uzbekistan as an innovative, open, and future-oriented country.
BBC Studios Director for Europe and Central Asia, Sarah Damack, emphasized the importance of accurate reporting for international audiences to understand complex change processes. She noted that the new section continues the BBC News campaign and creates a permanent platform for audiences to learn about Uzbekistan's digital transformation.
DARS FILMS director Daria Chernova noted that countries compete not only on innovation but also on the stories they tell about themselves.
She emphasized that digital transformation is a complex topic to visualize, and the platform created allows international audiences to see both the results Uzbekistan has already achieved and the directions for its future development.
