Uzbek citizen wanted on fraud charges extradited from Turkey

An Uzbek citizen who had been on the run for one and a half years on fraud charges has been arrested in Turkey and returned to Uzbekistan.

A citizen of Uzbekistan, sought for alleged fraud, has been extradited from Turkey.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported that the individual was located through collaborative efforts between Uzbek and Turkish law enforcement agencies.

After being apprehended, the suspect was extradited to Uzbekistan. There, he was transferred to the appropriate authorities to proceed with the investigation and subsequent court proceedings.

The suspect had previously been placed on an international wanted list in connection with a criminal case initiated under Article 168 of Uzbekistan's Criminal Code, which pertains to fraud.
