Two Detained in Tashkent for Illegal Crypto Trading
Police in Tashkent have detained two men suspected of illegal crypto asset transactions totaling over 7.8 million USDT.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs' press service has reported the apprehension of two individuals in Tashkent, both suspected of contravening laws related to the trading of crypto assets.
In one incident, a 24-year-old male was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the illicit exchange of crypto assets valued at 2,750,000 USDT.
Separately, a 27-year-old male was detained after reportedly executing numerous buy and sell orders for crypto assets, amounting to 5,078,166.14 USDT.
The combined value of the crypto asset transactions across both cases reaches 7,828,166.14 USDT.
Both individuals are now facing criminal charges under Article 278-8 of Uzbekistan's Criminal Code, an article specifically addressing infractions of legislation pertaining to the circulation of crypto assets.
