Three Pharma Companies Refund 100 Million Soums Over Price Gouging

Three pharmaceutical firms have returned approximately 100 million soums after being found to have inflated the prices of medications.

The Competition Development Committee announced that the companies willingly reimbursed the money they had gained through these unjustified price increases.

The violations came to light during an analysis of data submitted via the Fair Tech unified information system. The review pinpointed NIKA PHARM, Astor Alliance, and EVRO FARM BIZNES for failing to adhere to regulated prices.

Specifically, NIKA PHARM was cited for improperly pricing "Gastromeg Ezo (Nika Pharm)" 40 mg capsules No. 20. Astor Alliance was found to have overcharged for "Dolgit" cream 50 g and "Mezym Forte 10000" tablets No. 20. EVRO FARM BIZNES had similarly inflated the price of "Brovensin (World Medicine)" syrup in 100 ml bottles.

The committee noted that following information from the Tax Committee regarding the unjustified earnings, the companies voluntarily rectified the issues and initiated the return of the excess funds.

The Competition Development Committee has called on all participants in the pharmaceutical market to abide by legal requirements, consistently review their trade markups using the Fair Tech system, and proactively address any violations they discover.
