Tashkent to Host International Education Forums in December
Tashkent will host the STEAM AHEAD Global Finals 2026 and the Young Achievers Leadership Academy, bringing more than 3,000 participants from over 40 countries.

Tashkent is set to be the location for two international education events in December 2026: the STEAM AHEAD Global Finals 2026 international olympiad and the Young Achievers Leadership Academy programme.
Sanjar Tadjiev, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee, and Henry Ong, President of the Singapore International Mastery Contests Centre (SIMCC), have already discussed the preparations for these upcoming events.
The Tourism Committee anticipates that these international gatherings will span two weeks and draw over 3,000 talented school students, educators, global experts, jury members, and official delegates from more than 40 nations.
A key point of discussion during the meeting was ensuring the high-quality organization of both events.
The Tourism Committee highlighted that hosting these intellectual forums in December, a time typically marked by reduced activity in the international tourism market, is projected to boost the number of foreign visitors. This initiative aims to promote business and MICE tourism and enhance Uzbekistan's allure as a tourist destination.
The committee further noted that the influx of participants and their companions is expected to stimulate demand for hotels, transportation, dining, guided tours, and other tourism services, thereby positively impacting the economic activity within the tourism sector.
Additionally, the committee stated that these forums would spotlight Uzbekistan's capabilities in intellectual, educational, and MICE tourism, while simultaneously solidifying Tashkent's standing as a prominent international venue for significant events.
