Tashkent Region and Bashkortostan to Expand Cooperation

Tashkent Region and Bashkortostan are set to broaden their collaborative efforts.

An online conference brought together Zoir Mirzaev, Khokim of Tashkent Region, and Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan within the Russian Federation. Their discussions centered on fostering cooperation across key areas including trade, economics, investment, and industry.

Both officials acknowledged the consistent growth of the partnership between Tashkent Region and Bashkortostan. Currently, seven investment projects, collectively valued at US$235.7 million, are underway, having been approved by the President of Uzbekistan. These initiatives are anticipated to bolster the economic strength of both regions, establish new manufacturing facilities, and generate numerous employment opportunities.

The advancement of the Bekabad Technopark was a specific point of discussion, with both sides exploring strategies to expedite its further growth.

The meeting also addressed the establishment of joint industrial ventures, accelerating the execution of investment projects, expanding trade relationships, and enhancing collaboration in the fields of agriculture, tourism, and sports.

Furthermore, participants exchanged perspectives on potential new joint ventures and investment projects aimed at significantly elevating the partnership between Tashkent Region and Bashkortostan.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to fast-track current projects, ensure the prompt completion of scheduled tasks, and continue to expand practical cooperation between the two regions.
