Tashkent Allocates 21.48 Billion Soums for Urban Improvement
Tashkent will allocate 21.48 billion soums from additional local budget revenues for landscaping, urban infrastructure and social facilities, including greening projects.
Tashkent's City Council of People's Deputies has sanctioned the release of 21.48 billion soums from surplus local budget earnings. This substantial sum is designated for enhancing urban areas, bolstering city infrastructure, and aiding social institutions.
A significant portion of these funds, specifically 11.95 billion soums, is earmarked for greening initiatives. This will cover the procurement of seasonal flowers and decorative shrubs, intended for planting along Tashkent's principal thoroughfares.
Further allocations include 2.15 billion soums for the department overseeing the landscaping of the city's main squares, and 900 million soums for the department responsible for maintaining state-owned properties.
Additionally, 3.8 billion soums will be directed to the department tasked with the beautification and landscaping of major city streets. These funds originate from local budget revenues that surpassed projections in the second quarter.
A segment of this supplementary funding will also bolster social projects. The Tashkent Tourism and Hospitality Management College will receive 248 million soums for equipment acquisition, while 40.4 million soums will be utilized to fortify the material and technical resources of the city branch of the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis.
Finally, 2.39 billion soums has been allocated for the comprehensive renovation of the Bilim Information and Library Center's building and interior spaces.
