**SCO Foreign Ministers Convene to Discuss Summit Preparations**

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —

Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, attended a regular session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states on July 24. The meeting was held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

The primary agenda item for the gathering was the planning for the upcoming SCO summit. Participants engaged in discussions concerning the organization's strategic priorities, the continued enhancement of multilateral cooperation, the expansion of economic and transport-logistics links, and current challenges related to regional security and sustainable development.

Following the discussions, the foreign ministry leaders signed a series of documents.

During the event, heads of delegations also participated in a ceremony to collaboratively create a symbolic painting. According to Bakhtiyor Saidov, this initiative reflects the collective aspiration of SCO member states to further solidify mutual trust, friendship, and good-neighbourly relations.

Uzbekistan’s foreign minister conveyed his gratitude to Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and the event's organizers for the high standard of preparation and hospitality.
