Renowned actor Abdumannon Ubaidullaev has died.
Film actor, director, and teacher Abdumannon Ubaidullaev has passed away. He rose to fame at the age of 66 after starring in Zulfikar Musakov's film "Homeland." He taught at the Institute of Art and Culture. In an interview, he said, "If you have knowledge that you've worked so hard to accumulate, someone else should receive it."
Abdumannon Ubaidullaev, a prominent actor, director, and teacher, has passed away. He was 86 years old. The Union of Cinematographers of Uzbekistan confirmed the sad news.
Abdumannon Ubaidullaev gained widespread recognition in 2006, starring in Zulfikar Musakov's film "Motherland." He was 66 at the time.
He subsequently continued his acting career, appearing in films such as "Luck," "The Last Moment," "Deceived Soul," "The Hut," and several television series.
Before becoming an actor, Ubaidullaev worked as a director at children's radio, then at the Kashkadarya Theater, and after that, he published a radio magazine called "Tabassum" (Smile).
Abdumannon Ubaidullaev held a PhD in art history and was a distinguished figure in youth work. He taught in the sound engineering and cinematography department at the State Institute of Art and Culture.
In a 2023 interview with Kun, he shared his thoughts: "If you have knowledge that you've worked so hard to accumulate, someone should learn it from you."
He also said that when entering the Institute of Culture, he chose directing as his major because he believed that actors are subordinate to the director.
