Pop star Madison Beer and NFL player Justin Herbert announce engagement

The couple made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, including photos of the proposal.

Pop sensation Madison Beer and NFL star Justin Herbert have revealed their engagement.

The American singer-songwriter and the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback shared the news on social media Tuesday, posting pictures from the proposal. The images capture Herbert on one knee, presenting a ring box, while Beer, radiant with joy, crouches before him.

Their joint announcement was simply captioned: "meet my fiancé".

The 28-year-old NFL player and the 27-year-old Grammy-nominated pop artist were first seen together publicly in August 2025. Beer was a regular presence at Chargers games last season, and the couple has frequently been spotted at Dodgers and Lakers games in Los Angeles.

Herbert is scheduled to report to training camp on Wednesday, marking the beginning of his seventh season with the Chargers. The quarterback, who has yet to secure a championship ring with the team, now returns to the field with a different kind of ring.

The Chargers extended their congratulations in a social media post, stating: "JH+MB 4EV." The NFL also chimed in on X, writing: "Congrats to Justin Herbert and Madison Beer on their engagement."

The two-time Grammy-nominated singer gained widespread recognition in 2012 at the age of 13, when Justin Bieber tweeted a video of her performing a cover of Etta James' classic "At Last." Beer launched her debut single the subsequent year, accompanied by a music video featuring Bieber.

Earlier this year, Herbert also made an appearance in Beer's music video for her single "lovergirl," which depicted the couple embracing and strolling along a beach.
