Passenger Injured in Bus Collision in Tashkent

A passenger was injured in Tashkent after a CNG-powered Yutong bus collided with a Yutong electric bus along Amir Temur Avenue.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – On the morning of August 2, 2026, a passenger in Tashkent sustained injuries when two Yutong buses collided. The public transportation provider, Toshshahartransxizmat, released information detailing the incident.

The operator reported that the accident took place at approximately 8:10 a.m. on Amir Temur Avenue in the Yunusabad district. A Yutong bus, powered by natural gas and serving Route No. 17, struck the back of a Yutong electric bus, operating Route No. 85, which was stationary at the Yulduz bus stop. Driver negligence was cited as the cause of the collision.

One passenger on the gas-powered bus was injured in the crash. An ambulance transported the individual to the dental clinic at Tashkent State Medical University for treatment, after which they were released to go home.

Both buses incurred technical damage. The company confirmed that repairs are currently in progress to restore the vehicles to operational status.

Officers from the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Police Department have officially documented the incident according to standard protocols.
