License of Uzbekistan’s first cryptocurrency exchange revoked

The National Agency for Perspective Projects revoked the license of the UzNEX cryptocurrency exchange issued to Kobea Group. Clients will receive refunds of their funds and crypto assets within 10 days. UzNEX was the first cryptocurrency exchange in Uzbekistan and the region.

Uzbekistan's inaugural cryptocurrency exchange has had its operating license withdrawn. The National Agency for Perspective Projects of Uzbekistan (NAPP) has rescinded the license belonging to the UzNEX cryptocurrency exchange, which had been granted to the South Korean entity, Kobea Group.

According to the regulatory body, the license, originally issued on February 22, 2024, was canceled following a formal request from the company itself.
