Kazakhstan appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
Kazakhstan has appointed Yeraly Tugzhanov as its new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan.

Kazakhstan has designated a new ambassador to Uzbekistan, an appointment formalized by a decree signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Before assuming this diplomatic role, Tugzhanov had been serving as an adviser to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan since May 2024. He succeeds Beibut Atamkulov, who had been at the helm of Kazakhstan's diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan since October 2022.
