**Inson Centers to Provide Support to Victims of Human Trafficking**

Starting September 1, 2026, a new system of assistance to victims of human trafficking will be launched in Uzbekistan. Through Inson Centers, operating at the mahalla and district levels, the situation of victims will be assessed, after which they will be referred to appropriate services for the necessary support.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a number of proposals aimed at improving the assistance system for victims of human trafficking.

As part of these changes, the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Adaptation of Women and its regional branches will be renamed the Republican Center for Rehabilitation of Women and Children and its regional centers. In Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Fergana regions, the regional centers will begin providing assistance to women victims of human trafficking, as well as their minor children. Forty additional places will be created for these purposes.

Furthermore, it is proposed to introduce separate criminal liability for child trafficking. Individuals who have committed crimes related to human trafficking will have their right to work in the labor and external migration sectors restricted. Regular monitoring of the quality of services provided is also planned.
