Indian President Meets Uzbek Foreign Minister in Delhi

Indian President Droupadi Murmu welcomed an Uzbek delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, in New Delhi on August 3, 2026.

The Uzbek Foreign Minister began the meeting by relaying cordial greetings and well wishes from Uzbekistan's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Indian President.

Discussions during the talks focused on invigorating political discourse, broadening collaboration in trade, economics, and investment, and reinforcing cultural and humanitarian connections between India and Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, attendees deliberated on current regional and global affairs and assessed potential avenues for cooperation within international bodies.

Bakhtiyor Saidov extended his appreciation to the Indian President for the gracious reception and reiterated the commitment of the foreign ministries of both Uzbekistan and India to persist in their collaborative efforts to fortify the strategic partnership between the two nations.
