A criminal group engaged in drug trafficking through drop-off points was disrupted in Tashkent, resulting in the seizure of more than three kilograms of prohibited substances, Podrobno.uz news agency reported.

During a preventive operation dubbed "Safe and Healthy Country," State Security Service and customs officers searched the car and home of a 33-year-old man living in the Sergeli district of the capital.

As a result of the search, 1.1 kilograms of alpha-PVP, 1.9 kilograms of marijuana, 65 grams of heroin, and 16 grams of 5F-APINACA were discovered and seized. In addition to the drugs, packaging materials and scales, presumably used for packaging the prohibited substances, were also found.

A 38-year-old woman, who, according to investigators, supervised the man's drug distribution, was subsequently detained. It was established that she had previously been charged with drug-related offenses.

Both suspects have been charged with the illegal possession and sale of narcotics or psychotropic substances. They are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

As a reminder, three foreign citizens suspected of drug trafficking were previously detained in Tashkent, and approximately two kilograms of prohibited substances were seized.
