Houthi attacks reportedly kill at least 30 Yemeni government forces
The Houthis say they launched missiles and drones at "Saudi military build-ups" in the central provinces of Marib and Hadramawt.
Houthi rebel assaults on military installations in central Yemen have reportedly resulted in the deaths of no fewer than 30 Yemeni government troops.
The Houthis asserted that their targets were "large Saudi military build-ups" situated at these camps.
According to government sources, missile and drone strikes hit multiple camps operated by the Emergency Forces in Marib province's al-Ruwaik area and Hadramawt's al-Abr area.
Health Minister Qasim Bahibah denounced the "treacherous" assault, stating its aim was to undermine security and stability. He did not offer a specific number of fatalities.
A military spokesperson for the Houthis, who are backed by Iran and control a significant portion of north-west Yemen, declared they had aimed for "large Saudi military build-ups" at the camps. A Saudi-led coalition has been providing support to the government throughout Yemen's civil war.
