More than 300 companies attended the Ferghana-Balkh Business Forum in Mazar-i-Sharif, focusing on trade, investment projects, and regional ties.

Ferghana-Balkh Business Forum Convenes in Mazar-i-Sharif
Mazar-i-Sharif recently hosted the Ferghana-Balkh Business Forum, an event that gathered over 300 company and enterprise representatives, alongside business proprietors from both regions. The agenda focused on enhancing trade and economic relationships and exploring opportunities for collaborative investment ventures.
Among those present at the forum were Khayrullo Bozorov, the Khokim of Ferghana Region, leaders from Balkh Province, heads of chambers of commerce and industry, and various members of the business community.
During his address, Bozorov highlighted the elevated state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in recent years. He underscored the growing importance of fostering direct connections between the regions of the two nations.
Attendees at the forum pinpointed several promising sectors for joint efforts, including agriculture, trade, construction, pharmaceuticals, the textile and food industries, and the cultivation and processing of fruits and vegetables.
Ibrohim Gazanfar, Chairman of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, along with other participants, stressed the critical role of direct business interactions in broadening economic ties, forging new partnerships, and executing shared projects.
A significant outcome of the forum was the signing of a memorandum between the Ferghana Regional Khokimiyat and Kamal Nabizada Ltd for the establishment of the Ferghana Trade House in Mazar-i-Sharif. Additionally, the chambers of commerce and industry of Ferghana Region and Balkh Province entered into a cooperation memorandum aimed at bolstering entrepreneurship and facilitating investment projects.
The event also featured B2B negotiations, where business owners engaged in discussions concerning product distribution, the formation of joint ventures, and the execution of investment initiatives.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, in conjunction with the regional administrations of Ferghana and Balkh, provided support for the organization of the forum.
