Etihad Airways launches flights from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent

Etihad Airways has launched flights from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent. The press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported that the airline's first flight was solemnly welcomed at Tashkent Airport on August 10.
Flights will be operated daily on Airbus A320 aircraft. The first flight landed at Tashkent Airport at 01:35 and, in accordance with aviation traditions, was greeted with a water cannon.
A representative of Uzbekistan Airports noted that the daily direct flight with Abu Dhabi will serve to develop business and tourism relations between the two countries. It will also provide passengers with convenient transit opportunities to many destinations around the world through one of the largest aviation hubs in the region.
The possibility of Etihad Airways entering the Uzbekistan market was first announced in 2022. In July 2025, the airline announced plans to launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent. In October of the same year, the UzAviatsia Agency granted Etihad Airways permission to operate regular flights to Uzbekistan.
