Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – ERA University, based in India, is exploring the possibility of establishing a specialized medical facility in Uzbekistan's Republic of Karakalpakstan. The proposed clinic would focus on the early identification, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis.
This potential initiative was a key topic during discussions between Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry within Uzbekistan's Ministry of Health, and senior officials and representatives from ERA University.
The meeting occurred during an official visit by an Uzbek delegation to India, coinciding with the India-Uzbekistan Business Forum.
During their talks, both sides explored various avenues for collaboration in the fields of medicine, medical education, and scientific research. They also addressed strategies for elevating the standard of medical training and executing joint ventures.
Specifically, ERA University representatives put forward the idea of launching a contemporary, specialized clinic in Karakalpakstan dedicated to the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis.
Furthermore, attendees at the meeting examined prospects for initiating collaborative educational programs in medical and pharmaceutical disciplines, fostering academic exchanges, conducting joint scientific research, and advancing the professional development of specialists.
