Certain types of activities are allowed to be carried out without a license for up to three months
A new legal institution will be introduced in Uzbekistan - a special regime called "Business without a License." This will create the opportunity to engage in certain types of activities without a license or permit for up to three months.
Amendments are being made to the Law “On Licensing, Permitting and Notification Procedures” that allow certain types of activities to be carried out without a license for up to three months. These amendments were approved at the plenary session of the Senate on July 8.
It is noted that as a result of the introduction of a special regime called “Starting Business Without a License”, business entities will have the opportunity to start their activities without obtaining a license or permit, by electronically notifying the authorized body.
This regime will give them additional time to adapt to the requirements of a license or permit, as well as an opportunity to start their activities on a trial basis and assess their economic efficiency.
According to the Senate press service, “This change will facilitate the start of entrepreneurial activity, save time and costs, and serve to stimulate new business initiatives.”
