Business Activity in Uzbekistan Continued to Grow in June
Growth was recorded across all regions of the country, driven by an increase in interbank payment transactions, trading activity on the commodity exchange, the number of active business entities, and trademark registrations.

The Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) reported that the Business Activity Index (BAI) hit 1,128 points in June 2026, marking a 12.8% increase from the previous month. Year-over-year, the index saw a significant rise of 36%.

Moreover, all regions of Uzbekistan experienced growth in the Business Activity Index compared to the previous month.
The most substantial growth was recorded in Syrdarya Region (51.3%), Surkhandarya Region (49.1%), Namangan Region (47.1%), and Khorezm Region (45.0%).
During this period, the number of interbank payment transactions reached 7.93 million, which is an increase of 1.25 million transactions (18.7%) from May 2026. Compared to the same time last year, the number of transactions rose by 25.7%.
All regions reported growth in interbank payment transactions.
The most significant increases in banking transactions among legal entities were noted in Kashkadarya Region (25.9%), Jizzakh Region (24.7%), Fergana Region (23.7%), and Syrdarya Region (23.0%).
This growth was fueled by a higher volume of payment documents processed through the Central Bank's Interbank Electronic Payment System. In June:
The commodity exchange component of the BAI reached 1.1350, reflecting a 13.5% increase from the previous month.
Simultaneously, the average volume of goods purchased per transaction fell by 3.8%, while the number of transactions rose by 31%.
The total trading volume for 34 major commodity groups on the Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange reached UZS 9.5 trillion, which is a 27.7% increase compared to the previous month.

In June 2026, the trademark registration component reached 1.1855, an 18.5% increase from the previous month.
