Brazilian footballer falls into tunnel while celebrating goal

His goal was disallowed due to offside.

In the Brazilian championship, a player fell into a tunnel while celebrating a goal. This incident happened to Coritiba defender Jaci in the 22nd round of the Brazilian Serie A against Chapecoense (2:1). While celebrating his goal, he fell into the tunnel behind the advertising board. After the player came out of the tunnel, it turned out that his goal was canceled due to offside.

**"We don't always score goals"**

This happened at the end of the first half. Jaci won the fight for the ball on the second floor, scored his second goal of the season and began to actively celebrate it: he took the ball from the Chapecoense goalkeeper and stuffed it into his T-shirt, hinting that he was expecting a child.

After that, the defender jumped over the advertising barrier, but did not notice that behind him was the entrance to the tunnel leading under the stands. As the break approached, the tunnel door was open. As a result, the player immediately disappeared from the frame and fell down. The security guard standing at the entrance to the tunnel was left clutching his head.

Then Jaci came out of the tunnel and continued to celebrate the goal, but soon the goal was disallowed for "offside".

In an interview at half-time, the Brazilian player said that he was fine. "Everything is fine with me. Defenders rarely score goals, so I got carried away. And the tunnel was open. I'll have my leg checked," he said in an interview with CazeTV.

But Jaci was still substituted in the 48th minute - a bruise on his ankle during the fall said it all. Coritiba managed to win without him, and Pedro Rocha scored the winning goal at the end of the match.

**This is not the first time**

A similar incident occurred at the Coto Pereira stadium in 2014: Coritiba striker Joel jumped off an advertising hoarding while celebrating a goal against São Paulo and fell. The goal was then given and the Cameroonian player was able to continue playing.

According to La Nacion, the security guard who pulled Jassy out of the tunnel was standing in the same spot 12 years ago. He has once again become the subject of a viral video.
