This year, the Olympiad attracted over 500 participants from 106 countries, making it the largest event of its kind. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the opening ceremony of the Olympics, emphasizing that hosting world-class competitions reflects the country's commitment to building a digital economy and developing high technologies.

According to the President, Kazakhstan is consistently implementing its digital transformation strategy, creating a modern innovation ecosystem where artificial intelligence plays a key role in public administration, economic development, and business.

The President noted that according to the UN E-Government Development Index, Kazakhstan ranks 24th out of 193 countries and is a leader in Central Asia in terms of its readiness to implement modern digital technologies.

The country places particular emphasis on developing human capital. In his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recalled that at last year's International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad in Beijing, the Kazakh team won three gold, one silver, and three bronze medals, confirming the high level of training of young specialists.
