7,517 people were prosecuted for corruption in Uzbekistan in 2025
Last year, the highest number of corruption-related crimes was recorded in Andijan, Tashkent, and Kashkadarya regions. By sector, this indicator was most often observed in preschool and school education (580 people), local khokimiyats (497 people), healthcare organizations (404 people), commercial banks (245 people), and higher education institutions (161 people).
In Uzbekistan, 7,517 people were brought to justice for corruption-related crimes in 2025. This information was announced by Senator Abduhakim Eshmurodov at a plenary session of the Senate on August 8.
It is noted that during the year, more than 2.9 trillion soums of damage was caused to state interests as a result of corrupt actions.
According to the senator, Andijan region (946 people) led in the number of people who committed corruption-related crimes. The next places were occupied by Tashkent (793 people), Kashkadarya (745 people), Samarkand (709 people) and Namangan (509) regions.
