7 Uzbeks killed in drone attack in Tatarstan

On August 10, 7 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed in an attack carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, according to information provided by the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan, a total of 13 people were killed and 39 people were injured in this incident. The 7 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who died are: A.D.K., U.S.A., B.O.M., A.R.E., X.D.R., X.F.F. and I.D.F.

At the moment, the Consulate General is taking control of this situation. In order to clarify all the details of the incident, the necessary contacts have been established with local responsible agencies and investigative bodies. The bodies of the deceased citizens will be returned to Uzbekistan after the completion of forensic medical examinations and other official procedures.

Official sources reported that the attack was aimed at industrial and civilian facilities, but no further details were disclosed. A day of mourning was declared in Tatarstan in memory of the victims. Russia has opened a criminal case under the article "terrorist act" in connection with this incident. It is noted that citizens of Tajikistan are among the dead.
